Gravel continues to evolve: what was once a discipline focused on adventure has also become a high-performance sport.
Today, we are taking a new step by completing our Gravel Racing range. More than just a tyre range, we are presenting a comprehensive technical solution to dominate every racing terrain with our three new tyres:
The Touareg Race, Touareg Race Gridskin and Caracal Race Gridskin.

Touareg Race: the evolution towards pure speed
Designed to meet the demands of elite gravel racing, the Touareg Race brings the innovative technology of the Caracal Race into the proven and versatile Touareg tread design. Hand-crafted in our factory in France, it redefines the standards of its category.
Superior efficiency:
The Touareg Race is 35% more efficient than the Touareg Hardskin version.
Mach Tread 3.0 Compound:
Our new compound delivers 25% greater rebound to minimize energy loss, while increasing tear resistance by 10%.
SwiftEasy Casing:
This ultra-flexible structure drastically reduces rolling resistance and allows for a competitive weight starting from just 480g.
The Touareg Race DNA balances three performance factors: low rolling resistance, controlled casing deformation for enhanced stability, and confident grip for “aggressive” racing.
The Ultimate Combo: The Touareg Race & the Caracal Race
The association of these two tyres has one single goal: performance. By combining our two flagship profiles, we have created the setup best suited for gravel racing:
At the front:
The new Touareg Race for maximum grip, precise control, and confident stability, even in technical sections without sacrificing efficiency.
At the rear:
The Caracal Race, already recognized as one of the fastest tyres in the world, to maximize efficiency and pure speed.
This “Perfect Combo” meets the demands of 90% of current gravel racing conditions.
GridSkin: protection without compromising efficiency
For riders tackling rocky terrain, we are introducing GridSkin technology for the first time in our Gravel Performance range.
Already proven on the road, this knitted mesh reinforcement strengthens the tyre by isolating cuts and tears to prevent sidewall punctures that can be race-ending.
Unlike traditional reinforcements, GridSkin has a minimal impact on rolling efficiency: its performance remains remarkably close to the Touareg Race.
This technology is now available on the new Touareg Race GS and Caracal Race GS.
Wider dimensions for modern Gravel
There are various ways to experience Gravel and Gravel Racing. This is why we offer a range of sizes to meet riders’ needs, while acknowledging that the evolution of equipment and rims is driving a trend toward higher-volume tyres. We are meeting this demand by now offering a 50mm section across our entire performance Gravel range.
The Touareg Race, Touareg Race GS, and Caracal Race GS are all available in 40mm, 45mm, and 50mm widths.
This expansion also includes the ultra-fast Caracal Race, which now features a 50mm version, offering racers a unique combo of pure speed and comfort on the most demanding terrain.
In terms of aesthetics and finishes, you can choose between classic black elegance or the iconic look of tan sidewalls for the Race versions, or the unique technical Gridskin finish, which is randomly speckled, for unique designs for models equipped with our new reinforcement technology.
