Racing Lab is an intimate collaboration of Hutchinson’s engineers, tyre designers, and athletes, based at our historic factory in Chalette-sur-Loing. It’s where this special group meets to dream up the newest tyre technology, and then make it reality. With our in-house manufacturing, we can rapid-prototype new designs, then test them in real-world conditions and analyze performances for further refinements.
The result? Tyres like the Blackbird, designed to meet the demands of road cycling, where every watt counts, every second matters, and reliability is non-negotiable. The proof? Just a few months after its launch, Alex Yee powered the Blackbird to Olympic gold at the Paris 2024 Games, showcasing unparalleled performance and efficiency. What will Racing Lab produce next?
