Alex Yee is a multiple European and international medal winner based in Loughborough. Fresh from his maiden WTCS victory in Leeds, Alex won gold and silver at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Alex rides with the Hutchinson Blackbird and Blackbird Race Tubeless Ready tires.
Beginning with ITU Duathlon gold medals (2016, 2017), Alex has progressed to compete in U23 and Elite Men triathlons with great success, culminating in winning his maiden his maiden World Triathlon Championship Series gold medal at Leeds in 2021. In 2019, Alex found repeated success with Great Britain’s Mixed Relay teams, ending the year with a Mixed Relay gold in Nottingham and two ITU World Triathlon silver medals at Tokyo and the Lausanne Grand Final. He also achieved individual gold at the Discovery Triathlon World Cup Cape Town.
Following these triumphs, Alex’s career reached new heights. In 2022, he secured a double Gold at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, winning both the Individual and Mixed Relay titles. His historic run continued at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he captured a spectacular Individual Gold medal and a Bronze in the Mixed Relay. By winning his fourth Olympic medal, Alex became the most successful Olympic triathlete of all time. He crowned his incredible 2024 season by becoming the World Champion (WTCS Overall winner).
