In 2024, Alex Yee reached a new milestone in his already impressive career, solidifying his status as a global triathlon prodigy. Hailing from Loughborough, this 26-year-old athlete lit up the Paris Olympic Games by winning the gold medal in triathlon on July 31, marking a significant moment in the history of the sport.
From his early days in duathlon, where he won gold medals at the ITU Championships in 2016 and 2017, to his triumphs in elite triathlon competitions, Alex Yee has consistently pushed the boundaries. His first major victory in the World Triathlon Championship Series in Leeds in 2021 was just the beginning of a series of spectacular successes.
After claiming silver in Tokyo in 2021, Yee has now secured Olympic gold in Paris and a bronze in the mixed relay for Team GB. He positions himself as the most decorated triathlete in Olympic history, while still serving as a role model for young athletes around the world
