BMC Pro Triathlon Team

The BMC Pro Triathlon Team powered by 2XU is one of the leading and most ambitious projects in today’s professional triathlon. Seven world-class athletes race for the BMC Pro Triathlon Team: Pablo Dapena Gonzalez, Kristian Høgenhaug, Chris Leiferman, Katrina Matthews (née Rye), Patrik Nilsson, Max Neumann and Chelsea Sodaro. Bike manufacturer BMC Switzerland and sporting apparel company 2XU serve as the team’s main sponsors. Since 2014 the BMC Pro triathletes won a total of 109 races and finished on the podium in 217 of them. With more than 50 races on the 2021 calendar, the red team is coming soon to a triathlon near you.

PATRIK NILSSON (SWE) – Ironman European Champion

« Patrik Nilsson put together an exceptional performance in Frankfurt to crown himself the new Ironman European Champion. Nilsson overtook team mate Kristian Hogenhaug in the closing stages of the marathon to run to the biggest victory in his career in a finishing time of 7:59:21. »

 

Patrik made his debut at the Ironman World Championship in 2017 with a fantastic 8th place finish. In 2018 Nilsson went on to claim the Vice-European Ironman title in Frankfurt. At only 27 years of age, the Swedish athlete is one of the most exciting talents on the long distance triathlon scene.
