On 15th September, the world of mountain biking was marked by a feat of strength: France’s Isabeau Courdurier, a member of the Hutchinson family, won the inaugural Enduro World Championship. TThis victory marks the ultimate achievement of her career, within a globally renowned event eagerly anticipated by all athletes in the discipline. We’re proud of her success that she deserves!
During her first years in Cross-Country biking, she turned professional at the age of 17. From her first victory in 2015 to the top of the world rankings, Isabeau Courdurier has enjoyed one success after another in her sporting career. Joining Lapierre Zip Collective family’s at 2020, a deserving team of Mountain Biking professionals has been a next step for her to deal with competition together and reinforced his desire to excel.
Over the years, she has built up an impressive list of achievements, including victories in national, European and international competitions, podium finishes in 55 World Cup races and her first victory at the inaugural World Championship.
This woman of 30 years old is a source of inspiration for his career and his determination. She demonstrated her outstanding performance in this discipline.
Isabeau Courdurier’s victory at the Enduro World Championship represents much more than just sporting success. For Isabeau, it marks the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication to her sport. In the closing chapter of her competitive career, she showed the world her exceptional mastery of the discipline by crossing the finish line in first place. Her impressive performance took place over a demanding course, dotted with technical obstacles and steep descents. Despite fierce competition, Isabeau kept up the pace throughout the race, making her mark on this Championship.
This performance demonstrates the exceptional talent of female Mountains bike athletes, and helps to promote gender equality in sport. Isabeau has been a member of the Hutchinson family since 2016, and we’re proud to count her among our athletes. We share the same passion and desire for quality of movement and descent. Isabeau was aiming for a new title several years before the Mountains Biking World Championship. We’re working with her to continually improve our Griffus and Toro Gravity ranges.
During her performance, Isabeau was riding one of our Racing Lab prototypes. In fact, all our Hutchinson production is based in France and we are proud of our national roots as the only producer of bicycle tyres based in France since 1890.
Thanks to the collaboration of our engineers and riders, we improved the quality of our products. In order to excel in the way we innovate, we like to work closely with athletes, to be as close as possible to their needs in terms of experience. With Isabeau, we worked together to provide her with a 100% adapted prototype and produce a robust product for technical downhill riding, ready to take on the various obstacles of the toughest courses.
The Griffus and Toro Gravity, which Isabeau has been using for some time now, have been designed to withstand the extreme conditions of competition and maximise the rider’s experience.
